Today, we have some images from the Illinois set of Zack Synder’s upcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel. It answers a fair few questions, yet it also raises some as well. There’s a good look at Henry Cavill in his Superman costume, there appears to be no red trunks over the top, as we are used to with the classic Superman costume. Reportedly, the movie is tying in with a new comic-book series of the character as part of DC Comics relaunch of the character. We also get a glimpse at Faora, the kryptonian villainess, who works alongside General Zod. She looks a lot more edgier then she did in the Christopher Reeve movies. And that guy standing next to her in the weird suit. That is supposedly Zod himself, and that weird suit is a motion capture suit. What the hell is Zod going to look like? And did Warner Bros. not learn their lesson regarding motion-capture suits with Green Lantern? What quite necessitates Zod to have a motion capture suit remains to be seen, but check out the pics below:

The new movie is set for a June 14th 2013 release, and stars Cavill, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond.
