The first trailer for the third movie following the adventures of Harold Lee (John Cho) and Kumar Patel (Kal Penn) has come online today in all its festive glory. In August. But yeah, the third installment in the Stoner adventures takes a festive turn as Harold has to try to replace his father-in-law’s prized Christmas tree after he and Kumar accidentally burn it down. Once again, Neil Patrick Harris is on hand in his scene stealing role as himself and 3-D shall play a major part in the movie. As evident below:

I found the first two Harold and Kumar movies really quite funny and a good fun way to spend an hour and a half, mostly because of the charm of its two leads and the hilarious Neil Patrick Harris. It looks like they’re on to much of the same thing with this installment, and I’m quite happy with that. The trailer features some strong laughs and the festive twist looks to add some freshness. And I love how it both seems to be embracing 3-D and also taking the piss out the format. It’s about time.

The film is out November 4th in the US, no sign of a UK release date yet, but expect it to turn up around December. Because, you know, it’s Christmas then.
