There was initially speculation as to whether Oscar-Winning Kathryn Hurt Locker Bigelow’s new movie about a failed attempt on the life of Osama Bin Laden was going to go ahead after the announcement that he had in fact been killed on the weekend. Happy days, but not for Bigelow’s production. But now it seems the movie will be going ahead, albeit with some changes.

Her creative partner Mark Boal was actually following the Navy SEAL Operatives that were part of the search for Osama, so now it seems Boal will be re-writing his script in order to end with the raid on the compound in Pakistan where Bin Laden met his end. Talk about topical.

Bigelow is going to see how the Arab community responds to this news before seriously moving ahead with this movie. Although it looks like it may definitely be happening, with the intention of filming in the summer. Some casting rumours have had Michael Fassbender and Joel Edgerton. It’ll be interesting to see how this movie developes. And whether Al Qaeda will have anything to say about it.
