Josh Pence, who you may have seen indirectly in The Social Network as one of the Winklevoss’, only to have his faced covered over with Armie Hammer’s in post-production, has won himself a role in the upcoming sequel The Dark Knight Rises.
Who will he be playing I hear you ask? Well, it seems he will be playing a young version of Ra’s Al Ghul, who of course was played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins. Apparently some parts of the film will involve going back 30 years and following a young Al Ghul. This supports the theory that Marion Cotillard will be playing Talia Al Ghul, the daughter of said Ra.
Story details are very much under wraps for this movie, as is always the Christopher Nolan way. Pence joins the Christian Bale-led cast with such new ‘Bat-cast’ members as Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The Dark Knight Rises shall be released on July 22nd 2012.
