We’ve had a teaser, we’ve had the amazing 30 second tv spot, and now we have a full trailer for the upcoming Steven Spielberg produced and J.J. Abrams directed movie, Super 8. It features some brand new footage and more story details, with an official synopsis now released as well;

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

The Spielberg references are just everywhere, from the music, to the setting and the family orientated storyline. And we haven’t seen a movie about a group of kids like this since the 80’s, as it looks very much looks like a kind of E.T. meets The Goonies, via Close Encounters. I really can’t wait for this movie to come out, looks like the sort of movie that me, and I’m sure many film enthusiasts, will absolutely love.
The movie hits cinemas on August 19th!
