Yes, there are obvious similarities between this movie and the Hit-Girl character from Kick-Ass. But as you can tell from the trailer, the tone is very different, this being a much more serious movie with Bourne-esque action and a world-wide spanning plot. It looks interesting and stylish and Ronan looks very good in the role, once again proving she is one of the more versatile young actors out there. It also looks like a welcome change of style for director Joe Wright, moving away from Keira Knightley costume dramas by presenting some impressive looking action. And it features an original score by The Chemical Brothers, apparently. The movie hits cinemas on April 8th next year.
