The new planned reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has gained itself some new writers in the form of the Iron Man duo Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. The movie is being made over at Paramount with Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes producing. The studio is “looking at this as its next huge franchise, like Transformers”.

The popular franchise began with a comic book series in 1984, spawning three television series (two cartoon, one live action) and four movies (three live action, one animated). There is a huge established fanbase for the property already and the new movie should allow for the origins of the characters to be reintroduced to a new generation of kids who may not have grown up with the heroes in the high shells. all together now, Cowabunga dude!
