A new International trailer (hence the subtitles) for the second sequel in the Meet The Parents franchise has appeared online. The story picks up with Greg (Ben Stiller) and his wife Pam (Teri Polo) after they have had kids and Greg must once again try to prove to his father-in-law Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) that he has what it takes to be a good husband, and now father. Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner and Barbara Streisand reprise their roles along with new cast members Laura Dern, Jessica Alba and Harvey Keitel.

It looks like pretty much of the same thing, but still looks quite fun and the child situation should be a fresh spin on it. But there have been rumblings about poor test screenings, with the studio even wanting to try to get Dustin Hoffman to appear in reshoots to boost the appeal of the movie and ‘save it’. It doesn’t look that bad I have to say, but it would be a shame if Hoffman isn’t in it as he was one of the best things about Meet The Fockers, which I preferred to the first movie.

The new movie is directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie, About a Boy) and is scheduled to hit theatres in December.
