The trailer for Matt Reeves’ (Cloverfield) remake of the Swedish Vampire movie Let the Right One In has come online after its premiere at Comic Con. Having not seen the original I don’t really know how faithful this remake is being, but I’ve read the book and it looks very similar in tone and style and I think this is going to turn out to be a very decent and atmospheric horror movie.

The story follows young loner Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road) who is constantly bullied and neglected by his divorced parents. He spends his time fantising about getting murderous revenge on his bullies whilst alone at home. He soon begins to form a bond with his new neighbour Abby (Chloe Mortez, Kick-Ass), who has recently moved in with her father (Richard Jenkins, Step Brothers). Abby only comes out at night, but Owen begins to form a friendship with her, recognising a fellow troubled outcast like himself. But there is a lot more to Abby then meets the eye.
